BASEC joins forces with Kiwa UK
Globally recognised cable accreditation body, The BASEC Group (BASEC), is joining Kiwa with immediate effect.
BASEC is an independent accredited certification body for the electrical cable industry worldwide. It has 63 employees with its headquarters in Milton Keynes and a state-of-the-art laboratory in Dubai.
ECA’s Terry Foreman, who is also a Director of BASEC commented: “This is great news for increasing quality accreditation in the cable industry and delivering ever safer electrical installations the world over. BASEC’s well respected name will reach an even greater market by teaming up with Kiwa UK.
Kiwa UK CEO Paul Brown said. “I am delighted to welcome the BASEC team to Kiwa. Their knowledge, expertise, and reputation for delivering trust in the quality of electrical cables around the world complement Kiwa’s purpose in the marketplace. I see great synergies between the two companies as well as Kiwa supporting BASEC to continue delivering high quality assurance to the cable industry.”
Leadership of BASEC Group will now come under the remit of Kiwa’s Strategic Business Director, Sarah Grant. Sarah commented: “I’m excited to be leading BASEC through the next stages of its development.
